Why Our Lessons?

Experienced

Growing up in a musical family, I began playing instruments at a young age,

and was surrounded by experienced musicians.

Played in the Grand Rapids Youth Symphony, Grand Rapids Symphony in 1970 and Ray Gill’s big-band Jazz Band.

Taught music lessons for 20 years with a variety of instruments including: piano, cornet/trumpet, saxophone, flute, clarinet, oboe, trombone, French horn, ukulele, and guitar (acoustic & bass).

My education includes a Bachelor of Music degree and two classes shy of Master of Music from University of Michigan, had the privilege of studying under world-renowned and prestigious music professionals, and played recitals and in the Wind Ensemble, Symphony Band and Marching Band.

Led worship and played in various churches throughout West Michigan.

Passionate

Early in my life, a scholarship to music camp ignited a desire to excel in music that I've carried throughout my life.

Currently play horns* at my church where I can share my love for music while worshiping the Lord.

I love music and share it with our own children, having taught them lessons since they were young, beginning with the piano.
